Lets' Give Them Something To Talk About....
I have been sitting back and just observing people the past couple of days.....see, even with the new job I have no actual life outside of my house.......ok....on with my story......yeah...so I was out shopping for work clothes and such....a big suprise there ;)......and I saw these two friends (girls of course) shopping for I don't even know what they were shopping for, but let me share with you how people talk now a days. We'll just call them girl #1 and girl #2. Girl #1 says, " You know I just don't think other people get me, maybe that's why I don't have a man." Girl #2 says," well, maybe you are just too self-involved and people are tired of hearing about you....from....you." Girl #1:" I don't think you need to give advice to me anymore." I walked away from the section of target these girls were in and got so disturbed by this small conversation that I had to leave. The sad part is that I think this type of conversation goes on between more than just these two girls. Wondering what the rest of their conversation consisted of I suddenly realized that I was more sad for these girls than anything. You never really hear people talking about how great God is and how much they have been given even though we don't deserve it outside of the church. It's very rare to hear people rejoicing in the Lord and sharing that with people no matter where they are. Is it just me who notices this? So, even though times are rough I have made a commitment to make sure I let people know who satisfies my heart and that there is nothing I would change in my life...in fact, I would go through anything to feel as satisfied in Christ as I do at this very moment. It takes some people going through great trials in their lives to notice that God is everywhere and is with us even when we are in despair. I thank God everyday that I know what Christ sacrificed and how much I am loved through each one of my trials......that's something worth talking about! :)
