Work and Such....
The past few weeks have been crazy. For a while there, I completely forgot I even had a blog. So, there's work. I know it's not too exciting, but I feel as if the choices I make while I am there are good ones. It's rough working with a bunch of guys all day every day. I think the hardest part of working with these guys is their refusal to believe. Not that I've walked around talking to each one of them and reading passages from my bible. They see me carry my bible to and from my desk everyday. The one's that actually come into my office a few times a day to ask questions or find materials see me reading and studying the word. Without any information given, they always start talking to me about their faith. Most guys here have none. The only thing I have ever been able to say in response to them is," how can it be wrong to love and believe in the purest thing we have ever known to be true?" It is such a challenge to come to work and not only a physical drain, but an emotional one as well. I get so drained from prayer and trying to say the right things. I know, it sounds bad, "I get tired of prayer." Prayer is a wonderful thing, but I think it can drain you when you are just so focused in it. (I hope you are following me...haha I can ramble, as if you guys didn't know ;) Being patient and loving out here is tough work! You've got guys that tower over me and say things to one another and are so dang aggressive .... yeah, they do that at least once a day. Then you have the guys that are so sweet, you just wanna hug em', but as soon as you get outside they are just as aggressive as the other guy. Now, on a construction site, you can only show but so much love to these guys. There are the random few that come into my office 3-4 times a week and talk to me about the options of accepting Christ as their Lord and Savior. Then right at the end when I feel as if I have made sense to someone, they completely change the subject or just decide that it's too confusing. UGH! It's frustrating, but heartbreaking at the same time. Other than that, there isn't much going on aside from church activities which are always a blast. It's refreshing to know you have a solid church to turn to when you need biblical advice. There are so many other things on my mind, but I can save them for some other posts. If I start writing about them now, I won't have anything left to post next week :)
