Persecution

It's been a while since I have posted anything really worth reading. I think back to when I was dedicated to writing more about what the Lord has been doing and/or showing me throughout my walk and it was and still is a bitter sweet time. There are a few thoughts I have and would like to share them with you all.

I've been reading a lot about the persecution of our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. We are sitting here in offices at work. Our homes are furnished, we have a safe place to worship and shout to the heavens about how much we love our God and how happy we are that He forgives and loves us more than we could ever fathom. People have given up their freedom to do that so God can be glorified in other places. These people have left their families and traveled to places un-familiar to them, just to give at least one person hope of a Savior that never stops loving. Reading about the struggles of the natives who strive to know Christ and give their lives up before even thinking about denying Him has done so much for me. I mean, there are people sitting in prisons getting beaten because of their faith. I pray for those people everyday as well as ask God for forgiveness due to my lack of faith compared to theirs. It leaves me asking myself questions like,"would I continue strong in my faith if I were being beaten?" , "would I be able to look at the person getting ready to persecute me and show them love and die for a chance that they might become believers one day?" The truth is, we live in a society where we can store those questions and thoughts far in the back of our minds and still put material things or feelings that don't really matter ahead of the most important thing. Those people dying for their faith and sitting in jails across the world for the chance to show others that Christ is ALIVE are not only our brothers and sisters, but hero's in my eyes. They are bringing glory to our Father. In Acts 16:31..It reminds us that when we believe we are saved....Salvation! Psalm 91:2 reassures us that God is a mighty fortress and reminds us that we are to trust Him. Please pray with me for our brothers and sisters in Christ and remember that we are all a chosen people to bring fame to the name of the lover of our souls, the one who died so that we may live.
