For the first time in a very long time…..I had such a BLAST!!!! A dear friend of mine surprised me after work and to my surprise, I was told to close my eyes and hold my arms out to the side…..and a coat was put on me :) not just any coat, but the coat I have done research on and knew it was the one for me ….. then … it was dinner and a movie, The Bridge to Tarabithia….. can I just say that anyone who goes to see that movie….bring a whole box of tissues, you’ll need them. So, after the movie we bundled up and put our hats on and gloves and such. Walking towards the exit sign of the movie theater, we knew we were in for the burst of freezing cold smack our faces…..not the case … after bundling up we walked right into the hallway of the mall…hahahaha a huge group of people were standing there and we started laughing so hard while walking out of the mall. Once we got outside we realized that we were supposed to exit the mall on the other side, but walked around the whole mall to the car anyway because we couldn’t stop laughing and didn’t want to embarrass ourselves any further. It was the best night….. much laughter. Though I don’t have many friends like that up here…. There are 2 or 3 great people that I am just blessed to know in NYC. Missing my friends in NC and knowing that they would have laughed a great deal with me made me thankful tonight instead of longing to hang out and fellowship with my NC pals. How many moments do we laugh and continue to laugh about ridiculous things we do consistently? Most of the time we are worried due to our lack of trust that God will surely work all things out for the good we know nothing about. Praise God for great friends :)
