This past Saturday was such a great day. In fact, this whole past weekend was amazing, filled with God's grace and love. Most days are like that, but when your heart feels the work of the Lord and your thoughts are not holding you captive, it's a wonderful feeling.
Sean had been planning an early surprise party for my 30th birthday. My birthday isn't until September 18th lol. He knows me well and knows that I would be snooping around to see if there were any plans for the big 3-0.
I was able to share the day with the people I love and there were some missing, however they are never too far from my heart. They all chipped in and bought me the camera I had been wanting. A Nikon D5100 with lenses, memory card and a really nice Nikon bag. I even received a very sweet Doctor Who Tardis bracelet, equipped with two hearts as the beloved Doctor Who has lol. I loved every minute of the party!
We then went home and I was sitting on the couch watching Sean write a paper that he had due. I was thinking of how great God was and how magnificent his love for me and my life exceed anything I had ever felt.
It was then, I received a text message from a dear friend I have not had a serious conversation with since before my wedding a little over a year ago. We texted so much, Sean suggested we call one another lol. So, she called me and we had the most Christ-centered conversation. We discussed many things, in fact I believe my phone stated it was an 83 minute phone call lol.
When we finished our conversation, I couldn't help but praise God for his timing and for his patience this past year. He has taught me more in this past year than ever. It has been a challenge, but one he knew I could over come. To my dear friend, thank you for listening to our Father. Thank you for your heart and I look forward to learning more from our God as our friendship blossoms into what He has designed!
Thank you to all of my family and friends who could make it to the very early, but wonderful day!
To my husband, there are no words to express how amazing you are! God has done more than I deserve! You are my best friend and a beacon of light that points me back to our Creator and you are an example of how much God truly loves. I praise God for your heart, patience and for your leadership! I love you, hubs!
Here's what I looked like as I walked into the surprise....
Thank you all for blessing me and I am praising God continually for your love!!
Words from a social worker questioning life, faith, and process. A fierce mama of two amazing boys. Grab a seat, and a cup of coffee.. we’ll be here for a while.
