Well, here we are again.... how long has it been? Let's not even go there! Throughout the past months, the hubs and I have been working our butts off and schooling it up like nobody's business! I finish my counseling classes in August and am so happy to finally be done with them! Slightly bittersweet as I will miss a few of the people, but that's life.
The hubs and I started noticing that the married life has not been good to our bodies as far as weight gain. It has taken it's toll on my body anyway. It's so much easier for Sean to lose weight than it is for me. I wish that I could just eat yogurt for lunch and lose 20 lbs in two weeks. Unfortunately, my body is not built that way. However, even after trying MediFast, I was not losing weight the way everyone said I would. In fact, on MediFast my nails started cracking and my hair started to fall out. The doctor stated it was because my body was missing certain vitamins. I told the doctor, I don't care I'm not staying on this stuff. It's tastes awful!!
So, with that expensive disappointment we decided to start trying to have children again. However, it would only work out if my cholesterol way lower than what it was. My total cholesterol was slightly over 350. The doctor wanted to put me on meds, but I declined and said that I would try to lose the weight and eat healthier. She then stated that I had three months and then referred me to a cardiologist just to make sure I was in ok shape.
I then stumbled upon a friends FaceBook page. She and her husband had lost weight and looked great! So, I asked what their secret was. They told me they had been on HerbaLife. So, naturally I wanted to try it out.
After being on Herbalife, I wanted to eat better. Just felt like I needed a lifestyle change. So, I started going vegan. Now, since I am just starting out, there's much to learn. I can tell you that I now weigh 13lbs less! Woot!!
So, other than that things are moving quite fast and we are just trying keep up! I will be posting about my vegan adventures throughout the next few weeks. At this point in time, I am feeling wonderful, have more energy and can actually focus on certain things a little more.
I will certainly keep you updated! Thanks for reading!
